Discover how affordable your new Citroën could be!
If you're looking for a new car it can be hard to know where to begin your search! With so many options available, from fully electric and hybrid vs petrol and diesel, Citroën have created a new comparison tool to help you compare the different models, engines and running costs associated with each car.
What is a comparison tool?
The official name for this tool is a TCO which stands for Total Cost of Ownership. This includes all the expenses associated with owning and operating a new car or van over a certain period of time. For example the purchase price of the vehicle, maintenance costs, or fuel, to name a few.
How do I use the comparison tool?
Simply select your model of interest from the Citroën range and then your preferred trim and engine type. You will then be able to add a second model to compare – it could be an electric vs hybrid, electric vs petrol or two petrol engines. From here you can view the affordability, tech specs and key features of each car. You can even add in your own additional costs – such as insurance – to gain an even more accurate calculation of overall expenses.
How can this comparison tool help me decide which Citroën is right for me?
We want to provide an overall picture of the running costs of owning a car, rather than just the selling price. We are hoping it can help you make a more informed decision about which car is the best value for your budget, especially when deciding between petrol, hybrid or electric cars.
What are some ways to reduce costs on a new car?
You can reduce costs by choosing an electric model which is more fuel efficient and has lower running costs. Fully electric cars don’t produce any exhaust emissions, so you currently do not have to pay road tax which will also save you money.
Ensuring you compare insurance rates from various providers, and staying up to date on regular car maintenance can also help to keep the running costs down.
