C5 Aircross Concept
Family lounge SUV
Built on the STLA Medium platform from the Stellantis group, the C5 Aircross Concept is a multi-energy vehicle that exudes a powerful and charismatic attitude.

With its organic and muscular design, it is sculpted to optimise aerodynamics. In an SUV segment where the silhouette is often unfavourable, the designers have employed various tricks to minimise its impact, creating full, generous volumes and fluid surfaces.

Exclusive design

Citroën is reshuffling the deck in terms of design and dynamism with its C5 Aircross Concept.

Light signature

At the front, the new three-point light signature from the brand's latest models is featured.
At the rear, the designers reinterpret the three-point light signature in a spectacular way.

Efficiency

Featuring streamlined body elements, aerodynamics is central to its design. The designers had to tackle this challenge in an SUV segment where architectural constraints often compromise aerodynamic performance.

Muscular SUV
Assertive design

It presents itself as a dense block with generous volumes and an overall simple silhouette.

The front, designed vertically to incorporate the new logo, conveys strength and fluidity. The silhouette rests on widened tracks and marked shoulders, giving it a solid stance and an assertive posture on the road. The very vertical rear profile creates an impression of a large cargo volume.

Innovative design

Creating a piercing look and enhancing the width of the car, the front signature gives the entire vehicle a true status while blending modernity, technology, and character.

The fluid and muscular design of the wings and hood contrasts with the technical elements of the grille and headlights.

At the rear, the black strip on the tailgate is elevated to enhance presence and widen the vehicle, featuring two light points that appear to float on the side, known as Citroën light Wings. This original positioning also contributes to complex aerodynamics by guiding the airflow.

Designed for families
C5 Aircross Concept also conceals other innovations, particularly on board, which for the moment remain a secret.
For the interior, Citroën has designed a wellness area in the spirit of a lounge, where the five occupants will be able to relax and travel in complete serenity.

Sculpted design
For efficiency
At the front, the C5 Aircross features a fluid, smooth face, with a slightly lower hood to enhance air penetration. The volumes are full and generous, ensuring a well-balanced overall silhouette for optimal aerodynamic flow. Measuring 4.65 meters, the vehicle has a sleek profile with an extended rear overhang and a contained height of 1.66 meters, optimising drag.

The rear section is particularly designed to improve aerodynamic performance. The roofline is sloping, and the cabin is curved at the top. Aerodynamic appendages on the quarter panel, inspired by technology and electronics, aid in cooling and ventilation. These bi-coloured striated elements on the quarter panel help guide airflow.
